Come to our Launchiversary party!

Always be launching.
Oakland Review of Books
A photo of a toilet seat dispenser in the bathroom of a bar that is NOT Eli's. There's an "Oakland Review of Books" sticker on there, surrounded by graffiti and other stickers.

Oakland Review of Books continues to exist in space and time, and like Oakland, is always becoming.

Celebrate with us on a randomly chosen day we’ve deemed our Launchiversary, and keep launching with us.

We’re bringing the pizza, the DJs, the hop fight, the capacious tote bags, the Book Domme, the Oaklandest raffle prizes, and more. You’re bringing the money you’ll pay Eli’s for beer or fernet and a friend who doesn’t yet subscribe to ORB. We’ll all bring the writers (poets allowed, too, just this once. No comedians though, that rule stands).

If you’re a paying subscriber of any tier, you get in for FREE (enter the coupon code we sent you). If you’re NOT YET a paying subscriber, we’d suggest you pay $15 to support the general project. But if you can’t pay that, please just come anyway! You ALSO get in free. RSVP here:
